Claudia Hannon brings the best combination of professional experience, analytical expertise, industry savvy, and maternal intuition to her role as co-founder of The Campus Pathfinder. Her twenty-plus years of experience in human resource development, talent management, leadership consulting, and human enterprise analytic contract work allows her to tune in to each student’s strengths and weaknesses and accurately translate them into clear academic and social needs when matching them to the perfect college.
As a corporate leader and then president and founder of her own human resources firm, she worked with clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to local enterprises, including PepsiCo, TRW, Burger King, Encana Oil and Gas, and Level 3, to identify the right talent at the right time and assure the best match to the role or need. Her work in employee engagement and motivation is immediately applicable to the parent/child relationship. And, as a mother of two college-age daughters, each with different personalities and interests that led them to two very different schools--Bailey at The Johns Hopkins University and Emmi at Villanova University--she is intimately aware of the stress and anxiety that a parent goes through during the admissions process. Her intuitive consulting style and dynamic perspectives makes her one of the best advocates you can have on your college-bound student’s team. She holds a B.A. in Human Resources and Family Studies and M.A. in Labor and Industrial Relations. |
Phuong Nguyen began her career as one of the youngest instructors for an international test prep company, tutoring and teaching prep courses for the SAT, ACT, GRE and GMAT. She was quickly promoted to the top tutoring status, reserved only for instructors with the best score improvements and student feedback. She was also invited to teach test prep courses in Hong Kong for a year. Students respond to her dynamic personality and youthful energy, and parents respect her expertise, professionalism, and clear communication style.
Phuong has also traveled and worked in multiple countries to pursue her passion for international development. While studying at American University in Washington, DC, she brought Vietnamese diplomats to campus and worked at the Institute for International Mediation and Conflict Resolution. Next, she served as Lead Coordinator and Official Translator at the Institute for Socioeconomic Development in Da Nang, Vietnam, where she facilitated cooperation between the Institute, local government officials, and World Bank representatives on education and economic reform projects. Phuong utilizes her strong international background to help clients understand how a broader global perspective impacts the college application process on both a micro and macro level. With over six years of successful instruction experience, test prep expertise, and a propensity to cultivate natural relationships with students, Phuong provides a multi-dimensional advantage to both students and parents throughout the college admissions process. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs and Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. |
